This collaboration brings together two proud Cincinnati-based organizations united by a shared passion for purpose. While our missions differ, our goals align — to empower others, create opportunity, and make a lasting impact.

Aruna creates lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking by providing sustainable employment and holistic care. By combining nonprofit services and freedom business solutions, Aruna frees, employs, and empowers.

Each bag is handcrafted by women in India who are Survivors of human trafficking, now employed as skilled artisans through Aruna’s Freedom Business model transforming their stories of survival into ones of empowerment and independence.

Aruna’s impact also extends locally, hiring survivors in its Cincinnati office to continue the mission of freedom and restoration right here at home.

The Cincy Hat project began as a grassroots fundraiser for Village of Merici, an Indianapolis based living community and services provider for adults with disabilities.

The Cincy Hat Foundation 501(c)(3) was launched in October 2024 with the mission of providing education and infrastructure to the Cincinnati IDD Community.
